When to travel to Nepal?

Nepal is an absolutely incredible country that stretches across the mountain peaks of the Himalayan mountains. It is especially in northwestern Nepal, where some parts are in the high plateau, which is also characteristic of the country of Tibet, and these high peaks are typically referred to as the Tibetan Plateau.

General about the climate and weather in Nepal

In the northern part of Nepal in the mountainous region, the climate is arctic. In the southern part of Nepal there are many small valleys and hilly landscapes, and here the climate is both subtropical and tropical.

Nepal is a country with a completely unique landscape, which you do not see in many places in the world and not at all in the heights Nepal is in. Due to the very high mountains, the weather is also very varied, where this is very different, depending on where you are in the country. Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and here the city is located in a huge valley. The mountains of Nepal

The temperature at Mount Everest will typically be in the range of 5 degrees at night to around 16 degrees during the day.

However, the temperature will naturally drop the more you get up the mountain. More precisely, it drops about 1 degree for every 200 meters you get. There is less rain in the mountains than in the valleys.

The seasons in Nepal

When the cold starts to find its way to Denmark, you can calmly set course for Nepal. here the high season lasts from mid-September to the end of December. The daytime temperature is comfortable and is between 6-14 degrees.

For example, if you choose to travel to Nepal for a duration of more than 4 weeks, it is recommended that you be vaccinated with the vaccines that apply to a trip of less than 4 weeks. In addition, on a trip to Nepal of between 1 and 5 months , it is recommended that you be vaccinated against the following diseases: hepatitis B (3-4 weeks before), meningitis (1 week), rabies (4 weeks), Japanese encephalitis (14 days) .

On a trip to Nepal of 6 months or longer , you must of course be vaccinated against the vaccines described above. In addition, you must be vaccinated against tuberculosis 6 weeks before and typhoid 1 week before departure.
